A well‑fitting ring should resist sliding over the knuckle, yet remove without pain. Sizing can be exacting but we offer clear paths to help you find yours.

For the most accurate fit, visit a jeweler. Try various rings or bring your own. Sizing standards include US, UK/AUS, EU, and Japanese. Always measure the specific finger and do so at a warm temperature, when hands are most natural in size.

Place a well‑fitting ring over a ruler, measuring its inner diameter at the widest point. Alternatively, wrap string just below your knuckle, mark, and measure. If between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger one.

Ring sizing example — this ring measures 19 mm in inside diameter.

The Vanitas ring is named after a style of still life painting that emerged in the Netherlands in the 17th century. These compositions included objects like books, jewelry, instruments, flowers, skulls, and extinguished candles. Each was placed with purpose, meant to represent knowledge, wealth, pleasure, time, and the inevitability of finitude. These paintings were not just decorative. They served as reflections on impermanence and the limits of material life. The ring carries that same message in a quieter form. It is not a reproduction of history, but a reference to it. The design is minimal but deliberate, made to be worn without needing to be explained. It is an object that sits between the personal and the symbolic. A piece for those who move between worlds and are aware of what they leave behind.
